Market Review

• Dolar menguat terhadap sejumlah mata uang utama lainnya ditopang permintaan atas aset safe haven ditengah kekhawatiran kembali meningkatnya tensi konflik dagang AS-China dan terkait situasi politik di kawasan Eropa paska Pemilu Parlemen Eropa yg kembali dimenangkan oleh partai pro UE namun partai penentang mendapatkan peningkatan suara. Data Consumer Confidence AS yang melebihi ekspektasi juga turut mendukung dolar.

Dolar menyentuh level tertingginya dalam dua pekan setelah data sektor perumahan bertumbuh kuat dan klaim pengangguran mingguan terus menunjukkan kondisi yg solid. • Yen melanjutkan penguatannya terhadap dolar dan mata uang utama lainnya, menyentuh level tertingginya sejak akhir Maret, ditengah meningkatnya kekhawatiran pasar atas dampak negatif dari eskalasi tensi dagang AS-China terhadap pertumbuhan global. Penguatan mata uang safe haven yen dipicu oleh twit Presiden Trump baru2 ini yg mengatakan bahwa AS akan menaikan tarif import dari 10 menjadi 25% pada akhir pekan ini terhatap sejumlah $200 milyar barang import dari China.
